Charles Liu, A car repeated rammed the front gate guarding the US Consulate in Shanghai last night, causing a bit of a scene.
According to the official Weibo account of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, a black Toyota with a Fujian license plate rammed into a barrier at the front gate of the consulate on Huaihai Road around 9:45 last night. The driver was eventually subdued by an armed guard with the help of police.
They later released his name as Liu Daojie from Fujian. The 35 year-old told police he felt somebody was chasing him and was scared for his life.
