Chinese copycats have been known to replicate major international landmarks, but now the ambitions of China’s artists have turned inward. They’ve built several kilometers of a replica Great Wall of China in Nanchang, Jiangsu.
The wall is still unfinished, but has already become an attraction for tourists who walk along its evenly paved concrete, imagining themselves on the much rougher real thing half a country away.
With today’s technology, this new Great Wall is being built much faster than the original, too.
