Guangzhou East Station to Get High-Speed Rail by Year End

high speed train cockpitGuangzhou East Railway Station, that mainstay in Tianhe with frequent trains to Shenzhen, will offer passengers access to high-speed trains by the end of the year that includes a direct train to Chaoshan, reports SouthCn.

No detailed plans have been released yet, but an industry insider said the Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Xiamen-Shenzhen rail systems have been connected.

A high-speed train ticket to Chaoshan, also known as Teochow, will go one sale for RMB 150 with the journey taking 3.5 hours. It is expected that three D trains, the country’s fastest, will service this corridor on a daily basis.
