Chinese authorities have had about enough when it comes to websites that scam people, and has zeroed in on dating websites as one of the worst offenders.

The government has shut down 35 dating websites for having spread pornography scammed people. The Cyberspace Administration of China said the offending websites were shut down for “seriously violating regulations and presenting false information”. The closures were a result of investigation instigated by complaints from the public.

The administration had already shut down 65 dating websites back on February 17.

The shuttered websites include the Lily Network-Adult Edition, the Capital Lovers Network, and the Tianyuan Forum for Friendship and Marriage Channel.

The administration urged other dating websites to register their businesses. The operators of the banned websites face unspecified punishments.
