Especially considering that he doesn’t consider Taiwan a Chinese territory, so why write in a blog that is ostensibly about China.

Also, Just a fact correction, Chinese(Taiwanese) fighting within Japanese army were almost never made to engage in battle in Mainland because the Japanese thought that they would defect.

To be sure, if Mr Turton supposes that changing in identity or imposing identities is colonization, then clearly the Chinese seem to have been colonized by both the Japan and the west. Historical records can show you that Chinese in Taiwan, many of whom migrated due to overthrow of Ming, were against the Qing, and fought for many years to restore the Ming, at that time considered the “rightful” Chinese dynasty.

I must say though, Mr. Turton is a very valuable tool for the west and Japan in the ongoing propaganda warfare.
