I asked a spanish colleague who travelled to Hong Kong from Shenzhen last weekend (March 9, 2013) if the immigration started issuing computer-generated slips when crossing the border and he said no. I wonder if this applies to all border crossings in Shenzhen namely Luohu, Huanggang, Futian and Shenzhen Bay. Have they (HK immigration) started this already?
