Guangzhou maybe, but Foshan is sliding into a new reputation: pickpocket central. I was there just last spring, and Guangzhou natives won't even go there unless it's absolutely necessary. Purses grabbed in broad daylight! Ningbo has long been the unknown sister of Dalian, and has good potential. Wuhan has good SME business to sustain future growth, ditto Nanjing. The latter is also a good position as a transshipment point to the hinterlands, because the other major ports are too congested now. The other cities I haven't been to, but I've been to Kaifeng. I hope commerce doesn't touch Kaifeng; it has beautiful ancient hanging temples and other sites, let Kaifeng be its old, grand self. Chinese emperors vacationed here during the summer months.
